Surprisingly though, coming back to Perth was like coming to Perth for the first time. Sure I was a little homesick, but suddenly, from I believe Saturday onwards, all of those homesickness were gone and I felt a helluva more at ease right now! Pretty funny feelng if you ask me, but I'm really having a good time here at the moment. I currently live in Flat 86 Room 1 in Student Village. As per my request, I am now in an ensuite instead of a single room, so not only do I have a personal bathroom, I also have a personal telephone to go along with it as well! Furthermore, compared to my previous room, there's a lot more space in this cozy room of mine now and it's pretty near the south carpark of Murdoch Uni. My flatmates consist of Falique, a Malaysian who's been studying in Brisbane for a long time (and picked up a heavy Aussie accent) and is majoring in International Business, Queenie, a Norwegian girl who's enrolled in a Science course and Chantelle, a gorgeous Aussie who's majoring in Biomedical Science. All in all, I'm having a great time socializing with my flatmates and their bunch of friends (had a good chat with Chantelle last night as well) and compared to my previous flatmates from last year, I'm loving it here. Yesterday was a pretty fun day. Queenie invited me to join her and her mates in a game of volleyball and we played several rounds of it and enjoyed ourselves a lot. Later on that night, Student Village had their welcome BBQ, which was really really fun. I met a lotta new friends, including two superbly hot American chicks, Jackie from New York and Emily from Seattle, a Japanese girl name Ayumi from Nagoya and also several other peeps as well. The highlight was being able to reunite with some of my juniors from KDU whom I hung out a lot with last time, so with most of us around (excluding Aaron and Josephine cause they're still stuck in KDU), we could go back to the good old days of hanging out with each other again. I had Media Audiences lecture today, which in a way was the first chapter in my new semester. So far, everything went okay and I was a lot more focused than ever as well. I guess the three month holiday that I had really motivated me to work extra harder than ever and this time around, I'm aiming for Distinctions all the way. It's gonna be a tough road for me, but I'll do whatever it takes to be the best at what I can do. On another bright side, I'm finally done downloading the full Music Station Super Live 2005 concert with every performance being in it and zero commercial breaks. (Would actually be cool to actually catch the Mario Kart DS commercial featuring the "Hot" Super Mario Bros. Hehehe.) I'm trying to see if I can make DVD copies of it, but unfortunately, my VAIO Click To DVD software loves to fuck up on me, so I was wondering if any of you guys (particularly those in Perth) could recommend me a good software to burn these DVDs and lemme know asap. Till next time! |
