Chapter Six: This pain..............

Ouch! My biceps and abs are terribly aching after yesterday morning's workout and having said that, I decided to skip the gym today and probably go over there and workout again tomorrow.

If that wasn't painful enough, Torrent is still slow (well, my connection to be exact) and thus, I'm still waiting for the Music Station Super Live 2005 concert to finish being downloaded. I find it funny that my upload rate is very good, but my download rate is the absolute shit (negative connotation). Hopefully, it would be done by today itself cause I am after all very impatient and most importantly, I wanna give this wonderful laptop of mine a much deserving rest.

My parents have already bought me the flight ticket back to Perth and that would mean I will indeed be going back to Perth on the 17th and also missing the Orientation on that week, but then again, it's orientation, so what would I be missing out on anyways? Only thing is I'll have to make the best outta this week and next week before I depart off and enjoy myself for as much as I can while I'm here.

So, I went out for coffee with Arina today and had a good time chatting with her. Masta K would later join us and after that, we parted ways. That was enough for me to enjoy myself today, as I then took a short nap back at home and am now updating this blog of mine.

Am pretty pissed that my new Samurai Shodown game ain't working. I've been dying to play that game for a very long time and now, it ended up dying on me instead. At least my Onimusha: Dawn Of Dreams game is working, so thank god for that, but I'm stuck at the third chapter and have absolutely no idea what to do. Looks like I'll have to rely on Gamefaqs for this problem of mine.

I was suppose to update the blog with more songs I wrote, but my mom couldn't find the lyrics. She was suppose to keep them to show it to Helen and Alex, but now she couldn't seem to find it at all. This absolutely sucks cause one of my favourite works is included in there and I really need it badly.

I've ordered a couple of puroresu DVDs, including the two events I went for while I was in Japan and at the same time, I also ordered several joshi puroresu DVDs, including the Belief II event that I watched on TV while I was in Japan. Yup. Ever since the time I went for that M's Style event (and met the lovely Hikaru) and checked out the free DVD that came with a Lady's Gong magazine that I bought (it was a Christmas issue and featured AToZ's Kana, J'd's Fuka and M's Style's Ayumi Kurihara on the cover), I've become a lot more fascinated with the sport and have since wanted to watch a lot more of it, hence the purchase of these DVDs. Hopefully, they would arrive in time before I leave for Perth since I wanna show everyone the AJPW event at Korakuen Hall and point out to them as to where I sat at.

My parents have planned on going to Cameron Highlands in August to attend a relative's wedding, leaving me and my sis over in Perth. Now, it's been eight years since I last went to Cameron and the last time I went there, I had a blast as much like the Penang trip I mentioned in one of my updates, we had the Yusofs, Hatims and Rahims all taking a kick-ass holiday up in the hills and enjoying ourselves a lot. One of my more fond memories was when we stayed up late at night and Awe and I were freaking bored, while our parents were playing a game of Boggle. So we switched on the telly and there was this show that RTM2 would always play before the telecast for that day ends, which was called "Thought For The Day" and they would have an expert in whatever field (mostly in Islamic stuff) lecturing about, well, the thought for the day. (Duh!) Now, this professor with glasses, a kopiah and a beard which made him resemble NOAH wrestler and president, Mitsuharu Misawa, was talking about eating. With all due respect to his command of English, but the way he pronounced some words sounded like the way a three year old kid would say whenever he/she would try to talk.

Don't get the idea? Consider this. While most people would say, "I'm eating a banana," properly, his version went like this:

"I.........eat...........ba-NA-na!" (Yes. He emphasized on the first "na" in the word banana.)

Awe and I were snickering in the background, while my dad overheard that bit and started laughing hysterically and thus, that very phrase turned into a phenomenon. Okay. Maybe not a phenomenon since we rarely say that these days, but it is indeed good for a laugh or so at times and definitely one goofy way of reminiscing times.

But anyways, as I mentioned, my parents will indeed be going to Cameron without me and this really sucks cause I'll do anything it takes to go back up there again since I really miss Cameron Highlands a lot. Hell, if we could relive the previous trip to Cameron again with the same three families, the more better!

Ah well. Looks like I'll have to wait longer for that to happen again.

That's all for today. Have a nice day ahead!

Stick with working the body I guess.
I used to do the bench press for 2 years when I was in school before trying other stuff cause my dad made the bench press set himself and it was all I had at home.
I'm actually lazy to go to the gym and pay to use equipment. You can practically do a whole workout at home yourself if your resourceful.

Well, I do wanna be the next Tanahashi. XP XP XP

I remembered Benoit mentioning about his short training regime in an old issue of WCW magazine years ago, but forgot where it was. All I remembered that it consisted a series of hindu squats, push-ups and sit-ups. I have been doing weights these last few days (in fact, I paid the gym another visit again today) and usually, I'm working on my arms and back the most. I was hoping to work out on that before moving to my legs and abs. Whaddaya think is best for me?

You wanna be a manly man? Than train harder at the gym! BEEFCAKE!

Seriously, one bit of training advice I follow from Chris Benoit is to always push yourself until it hurts, than push yourself harder till you can't go anymore. That's how I used to work out, mostly doing push ups, squats and lifting weights.
Now I mostly spar by myself with my punching bag and even that can be tiring if you miss the target enough times.
